This Week's State Of The Economy - What Is Ahead? - 11 February 2022

Deep thought for the week, if a tree falls in the forest, or an Olympics occurs, and no one is there to hear it or see it, did it really occur?  Well, I don’t know about that, but there can be no doubt that the markets heard the more hawkish comments from St. Louis Fed President James Bullard and saw the stronger-than-expected CPI report for January, which in combination caused the markets to price in a more aggressive move by the Fed next month.

 

Hopefully I don’t have to extend my philosophical thoughts into a non-existent major league baseball season come April.  I need the material for these emails.
